The Attorney General’s Chambers states all matters raised by Najib Razak’s lawyers were fully presented and decided during the 1MDB trial.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has clarified that all issues raised by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s defence team regarding the 1MDB case have been fully presented and adjudicated.

It stated these matters were raised throughout the trial proceedings from 28 August 2019 to 4 November 2025.

The AGC reiterated its commitment to conducting prosecutions with independence, fairness, and integrity.

It added that all its decisions are based solely on the law and available evidence to ensure justice and uphold the public interest.

The statement is a direct response to a press conference held by Najib’s lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.

During the press conference, Shafee raised several issues pertaining to the case.

The verdict on the 1MDB case will be delivered by Judge Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah on 26 December 2025.
