MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Pahang, Selangor, and other states until 5 pm today.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for several states.
The alert is in effect for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan until 5 pm today.
In Peninsular Malaysia, the entire state of Pahang is affected, specifically the districts of Jerantut, Bentong, Kuantan, and Pekan.

The warning also covers the Gombak, Kuala Langat, and Hulu Langat districts in Selangor, as well as the Jelebu area in Negeri Sembilan.
In Sarawak, the alert is for Sarikei (Sarikei and Meradong), Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah, Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu), Miri (Miri and Marudi), and Limbang.
Affected areas in Sabah include the Interior districts of Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, and Tambunan.
The warning also covers Sabah’s West Coast, Tawau (Kunak, Semporna, Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Tongod, Kinabatangan, Sandakan), and Kudat (Kota Marudu). – Bernama
