PM Anwar says strategic investments and infrastructure will drive Sabah’s growth under the new state government, focusing on MA63 commitments.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening and accelerating Sabah’s development agenda.
In a Facebook post, Anwar stated this follows the formation of the new Sabah state government.
He said the efforts will be realised through strategic investments and an inclusive economy.
The plan also includes enhancing basic infrastructure and creating quality job opportunities.
These initiatives aim to align with the true potential of Sabah, known as the “Land Below the Wind.”
“Sabah continues to move forward as a more developed and prosperous state under the MADANI government,” he said.
Anwar said this will be achieved through policies rooted in a commitment to MA63 and more effective infrastructure management.
It also involves empowering core sectors such as energy, tourism, modern agriculture, and the blue economy.
Stronger guarantees of security and sovereignty are also part of the comprehensive plan.
The Prime Minister said all planned initiatives will be carried out with a spirit of togetherness, transparency, and responsibility.
This is to ensure the benefits of development are shared equitably by all Sabahans.
The commitment explicitly includes people in rural and interior areas of the state.
