PSIS polytechnic’s gold and silver awards at SIIF 2025 prove TVET is a top choice for creating globally competitive innovators, says minister.
KUALA LUMPUR: The success of Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) at a major international fair proves technical education is a premier pathway, according to the Higher Education Minister.
Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said PSIS’s award-winning performance at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2025 shows polytechnics are no longer a second-choice option.
He stated the achievement demonstrates polytechnics nurture globally minded and competitive innovators.
“Highest appreciation and congratulations to the entire team and all those directly and indirectly involved for their outstanding commitment, dedication, and teamwork,” Zambry said in a statement.
The PSIS team secured a gold award for its ‘A-Port Simulation: Inclusive Airport Experience with Interactive Navigation’.
It also won a silver award for the ‘PlantScape Apps for Residential 2.0’ project.
The SIIF 2025 was held in Seoul, South Korea from December 3 to 6.
