Suspended officer ‘Inspector Sheila’ in new viral dispute

Suspended police officer involved in heated exchange at restaurant, latest in series of public incidents

A suspended police officer, Sheila Sharon Steven Kumar, known publicly as ‘Inspector Sheila’ has once again become the subject of social media attention following the emergence of a video showing her in a heated confrontation at a food establishment.

The footage, uploaded by Facebook page “Malaysia hari ini”, shows the suspended officer engaged in a verbal altercation with a woman wearing a headscarf, believed to be the manager of the restaurant in question.

In the video, ‘Inspektor Sheila’ can be heard making disparaging remarks during the exchange, including comments about the other woman’s height and professional role. The confrontation escalated verbally before the manager withdrew from the area.

Individuals present at the scene were observed attempting to calm the situation as tensions ran high.

The officer has been under suspension since June 23, 2023, following multiple incidents that drew public and official scrutiny. Previous cases linked to her include allegations of insulting a fellow police officer and making threats toward an elderly woman.
