Russian drone attacks on Odesa wounded six, including three children, and damaged critical infrastructure, as Ukraine denied targeting a Putin residence.
ODESA: Russian drone strikes wounded six people in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa on Wednesday, including three children.
The city’s military administration head, Oleg Kiper, said the attack targeted residential, logistical, and energy infrastructure.
Two children aged eight and 14 were wounded, along with a seven-month-old baby, according to a separate statement from official Sergiy Lysak.
A 42-year-old man was also seriously wounded in the assault.
The attacks caused parts of Odesa to lose heating and water supplies.
Elsewhere, Russian drones wounded two men in the Dnipropetrovsk region, its military administration said.
In Russia, two people were wounded in a drone attack on Tuapse in the Krasnodar region, which damaged a port and an oil refinery.
Separate munitions strikes left three people wounded in Russia’s Belgorod region.
The strikes followed Ukraine’s denial of launching a drone attack on one of President Vladimir Putin’s residences.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Russia’s claim a “complete fabrication”.
He said he would meet allies in France on January 6 to renew peace efforts.
The Kremlin labelled the alleged attack a “terrorist act” and a “personal attack against Putin” but said it could not provide evidence as the drones were “all shot down”.
