KUALA LUMPUR: Cabinet ministers have extended New Year 2026 greetings, expressing prayers for the people’s well-being and the nation’s future.
Their messages reflect a spirit of togetherness and a leadership resolve to strengthen public welfare and unity in facing the coming year’s challenges.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke stressed the need for more responsible politics focused on solving problems, not creating divisions.

“I believe Malaysia needs more responsible politics — politics that focuses on problem-solving, not on creating divisions among the people for personal interests,” he said on social media.
Loke said the government understands ongoing cost-of-living pressures and rising business costs, pledging to address them through practical policies.
Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan highlighted the importance of people’s well-being and human-centred development.
He described the new year as a time for reflection on the nation’s journey and shared responsibilities.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu thanked farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen as the backbone of national food security.
“Your efforts and sacrifices are the foundation of the nation’s food security,” he posted on Facebook.
He reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to empowering the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors through support and innovation.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said his ministry implemented 762 programmes nationwide in 2025 to bridge social gaps.
These achievements were anchored on the principles of ‘Understand, Respect and Accept’ to preserve harmony in diversity.
Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup described 2025 as a period filled with lessons that built resilience.
“Despite an extraordinarily busy schedule, there are no regrets, knowing that I have given my best in every challenge,” he said.
Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad portrayed the end of 2025 as a phase of significant change and resurgence.
“Finally, we have reached the end of 2025. Some leave, some arrive. We fall, but we rise again stronger,” she stated.
