A man is critical after a masked group attacked three people at a Sungai Bakap restaurant, killing one, over an alleged debt issue.
NIBONG TEBAL: A man injured in an attack at a Sungai Bakap restaurant is now in critical condition.
Penang Police Chief Datuk Azizee Ismail said the victim in his 30s is receiving treatment at Seberang Jaya Hospital with serious injuries.
Another injured man is in stable condition at Sungai Bakap Hospital.

Azizee said preliminary investigations found the three victims were drinking together before being attacked by 15 masked men.
Police have detained two suspects to assist with the investigation.
A third victim was killed in the incident yesterday afternoon.
The two detained men, aged 24 and 36, have been remanded for seven days.
They are being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police efforts to track down the remaining individuals involved are actively ongoing.
The incident occurred at about 4.30 pm at the restaurant.
The group was armed with machetes and the attack was allegedly over a debt issue.
