Wooing visitors to Kepong lake garden
KUALA LUMPUR: A multi-storey car park will be built at the Kepong Metropolitan Lake Garden next year to improve conditions at the park which is set to be the centre for various activities including water, air and land sports.
“I have discussed with relevant parties and we are looking into upgrading the security system as well as to build proper stalls for traders at this park,” Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) mayor Datuk Ahmad Phesal Talib said today at the Kuala Lumpur Land, Water and Air Fiesta 2014 organised by City Hall and Youth And Sports Ministry.
It has attracted nearly 8,000 visitors to the park with the main attraction being the Malaysia International F3000 Powerboat Series 2014.
“This is one of our initiative to encourage more sports activities in Kuala Lumpur and to attract more visitors to the park,” he said.
