Palanivel condems video of him in Malaysiakini website

KUALA LUMPUR: MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel said the contents of a video clip uploaded in Malaysiakini's website titled "Video of Palanivel Causes Stir" had been doctored and was completely untrue.
Palanivel, who is also Natural Resources and Environment Minister, said he would be making a police report on the video clip itself and request the police to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.
"I can only see this being the result of the fresh elections for MIC that I have called and the solid show of support by the branch chairmen of MIC to my leadership.
"I once again reiterate that the contents of the video clip have been unscrupulously doctored and I have not made any such remarks as depicted in the video clip," he said in a statement, today.
The 3.16-minute clip which was aired in the Malaysiakini website today sees a person looking like Palanivel in a close up shot, being interviewed.
Malaysiakini stated in their website that it could not be ascertained if the person in the clip is indeed the MIC president. – Bernama
