Khairy: Give Mukhriz time to make stand on Najib-Mahathir feud

PUTRAJAYA: Kedah Mentri Besar, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir should be given time to make his stand on the Najib-Mahathir feud, said Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
He said people should not put pressure on Mukhriz as he will do so when give the time.
"I have faith that he will do the right thing. He (Mukhriz) is an experienced politician. I am sure he will decide the right thing. No need to pressure him," Khairy who is also Youth and Sports Minister told reporters at the launch of the Young Employee "9to5 Run" in Putrajaya today
Kedah PAS had urged Mukhriz to state his stand on his father's criticisms of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak as the state government needs to clear the air on the matter.
The former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been attacking Najib over a couple of "unanswered questions surrounding the controversial state owned 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) fund and the murder of Mongolian model Altantuyaa Shaariibuu.
The Young Employee "9to5 Run" is an event for young professionals from both the public and private sector and is targeting to see 10,000 participants in its two categories - 5 km and 10 km on May 1 at Persiaran Perdana, Putrajaya in conjunction with Labour Day and Putrajaya Youth Festival from 22-24 May. The Prime Minister is expected to flag off the run.
This initiative by Koperasi Profesional Putrajaya (Koprojaya) and Persatuan Belia Pekerja Muda had already received 5,741 entries online until yesterday.
"Sports and fitness activities is garnering popularity amongst Malaysian youth. This is a positive development in Malaysia, these days you can always see people jogging or cycling by the road sides. This shows Malaysians see the importance of exercise to their health," Khairy told in his speech.
Dazma Shah Daud who is chairman of the Youth Association for Young Workers, a co-organiser of the event said the organisers had prepared lucky draw prizes worth RM500,000.
