MAS air stewardess killed after four-storey fall

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines air stewardess was killed after she fell to her death from the fourth floor of her apartment unit in Bukit Jalil here on Monday.
Police who were alerted of the case found 29-year-old Sarawakian woman face-down on the ground with serious head and body injuries at about 6.30pm at the Green Avenue apartments.
She was believed to have plunged to the ground during a heavy downpour.
Cheras police chief ACP Chong Kok Sin said police recorded a statement from a housemate of the victim and learnt that the stewardess was seen crying in her room earlier in the day.
He said the housemate who was asleep at the time of the incident was oblivious of the victim's death until police came knocking at the door of the apartment unit.
Chong said investigations are ongoing and preliminary findings do not point to foul play.
He said the victim's body was sent to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital for a postmortem and the case is classified as sudden death.
It is learnt that police found a note scribbled by the victim in her room. It is believed the victim had been depressed over a failing relationship with her partner.
