The final countdown, predicting time of death in Feng Shui practice

IT IS not uncommon that at the end of a destiny and luck consultation, some clients will ask me if I can tell them when they will die.
This is so morbid! It is a fact that we will all die one day, sooner or later, so why bother? In any case, pin-pointing the year, month or date is not an exact science.
There are practitioners out there who claim that they can predict the time of death with pin-point accuracy.
However, I do not subscribe to this. Perhaps my skill is not up to their level, or I do not know the "secret" yet.
People can die in a number of ways: the more common ones being through illnesses and accidents.
As practitioners, we can read your birth chart and figure out the year (and month and day) when you are likely to experience an illness or an accident.
We can then drill deeper and isolate those that are more serious, and then make an educated guess when you are likely to kick the bucket!
In other words, we can only tell you the years it is "likely" to happen.
But before we go further, let me ask you two questions.
First, do twins born on the same date and same Chinese hour, die at the same time? Or in the same year? Most of the time, they do not.
Second, a major disaster can kill hundreds of thousands of people at the same time.
Do all these unfortunate people have birth charts that indicate death on the same year, month and day? Probably not.
Our birth chart reveals what is known as the 'Early Heaven' destiny and luck – that is what was appropriated to us at birth.
How we choose to live our life falls under the 'Later Heaven' sector, which covers our actions after birth.
Suppose at the age of 12, your mother takes you to see a renowned astrologer and he tells you that you will experience a very serious, and possibly fatal, heart-related ailment around the age of 49.
You are so shaken by this relevation that you decide to adopt a healthly lifestyle – such as eating the right diet, getting plenty of exercise and sleep, taking supplements, cutting out drinking, smoking, etc.
Compared to another person born on the same date and time but living a unhealthy lifestyle, it is much more likely that you will overcome this challenge at 49 and continue living a longer life compared to the other fellow.
Also, other factors such as the feng shui of the house and the qi of the people living and working closely with you (by their animal zodiac sign) can make your life better or worse.
The social environment and your job can also make a difference.
Suppose the renowned practitioner sees a 'blood-letting' accident around the age of 38.
Then, if you happen to work in a machine shop or live in a war zone, this 'accident' is more likely to happen and affect you compared to if you work in a library or live in a safe city like Singapore.
While illnesses, accidents or mishaps are the more common ways, there are other ways that you can go.
For example, a highly-depressed person may commit suicide! So how can we be sure?
What about during major disasters like a tsunami, where thousands of people are affected at the same time?
An external disaster such as a large asteroid falling to Earth and wiping out half of the world's population, or a global epidemic killing a billion people can supercede our pre-determined destiny and luck.
So you see, it is difficult to pinpoint exactly when one will die but we can make an educated guess.
Hopefully, such a warning will propel those affected to change their lifestyle and as a result, allow them to live to a ripe old age.
