Fake news portal reports Tun Mahathir's death

PETALING JAYA: There is no truth to the "news" being widely shared online alleging that former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has passed away.
It is learnt that the false news originated from fake news website "telegraph-tv.co.uk".
The article with the headline "BREAKING: Former Malaysia Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad Dies At 91" and datelined Sunday Nov 13, 2016 was being widely circulated on the social media.
When contacted, a spokesman for Dr Mahathir merely said "We do not comment on such rumours".
