Malaysian, French firms ink six deals

    KUALA LUMPUR: Six memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed between French and Malaysian companies today as part of the French President Francois Hollande's one-day state visit.
    The six MOUs are in the areas of energy efficiency, solar power generation, centre of excellence "industry 4.0" and innovation and technology transfer.
    Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, who witnessed the signing and exchange of the MOUs, said French investments in Malaysia amount to RM15 billion to date, involving 270 companies.
    Another three agreements are expected to be signed later today between Business France and three Malaysian government agencies namely Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation and Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd.
