SHAH ALAM: Police have identified the man who rented a car to the suspects in the killing of Palestinian lecturer Fadi M. R. Albatsh.
The suspects had left their motorcycle at Taman Tasik Danau Kota and gotten away in a rented Proton Saga. The car was found yesterday at around 2am in the Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir area.

"We have identified the owner of the car who rented it to the suspects but I cannot divulge further details as we are still investigating the case," Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said at a press conference today.
Sources said yesterday that the car was found based on surveillance of a closed-circuit television recording (CCTV) at Jalan Danau Niaga.
They also revealed that the two suspects had rented the car for about three months.
Mohamad Fuzi said Malaysian police have engaged all their Asean counterparts to determine if the suspects had fled to neighbouring countries.
"In addition, I have also asked Interpol to help us find and trace the killers," he added.
Fadi, who was assassinated on April 21, was laid to rest in Palestine earlier today.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Fuzi, who was speaking at a Buddhist prayer in conjunction with the 211th National Police Day, said police were prepared in all aspects for the start of the election campaign beginning with nomination day tomorrow.
"We are prepared and we hope no untoward incidents don't happen," he said.
He also reminded all Malaysians — from the politicians to the candidates and the rakyat — to handle themselves with maturity and discipline.
"We have had 13 general elections before, we hope that the 14th one will be a good one and people will not get carried away with their emotions that can threaten the peace of the country," he said.
"Don't let your passion for the party disrupt the peace in the country. We ask all parties involved to be responsible. We will also show no compromise to those who try and stir trouble to affect the safety of the nation."
