Penang Education Director to DAP: Leave me out of politics

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Education Department Director Shaari Osman refused to be drawn into politics when asked about an application to hold a "Penang and DAP" contest at all primary schools in the state next year.
The contest is to coincide with DAP's 10th anniversary as Penang state government.
Shaari pointed out that he is not a politician and he has a lot of things to do as state Education Department director.
"Let them (politicans) talk about it," he told theSun when contacted.
This comes after an online portal reported that DAP Socialist Youth leader, Joshua Woo, applied to the department to hold the contest which was proposed by private citizens in the state.
According to Woo, this will allow primary school pupils a better understanding of Penang's history and the party which had ruled there for the past decade.
