PM Najib, wife arrives for one day working visit to Kelantan

KOTA BHARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived at the Bandar Baru Tunjong today to attend the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) groundbreaking ceremony, one of his major programmes on his one-day working visit to Kelantan.
Najib, who was accompanied by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, then attended a get together with the Ketereh population at the Kelantan Poverty Foundation (YKK) Complex in Kampung Wakaf Tok Wali here.
Later, the prime minister would attend the groundbreaking for Giat MARA Prima and the Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Ulul Albab, to be held simultaneously at a ceremony in Kampung Padang Salim, Melor, here.
Najib, who is also UMNO president, is also scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting with the Kelantan UMNO liaison Committee at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport, Pengkalan Chepa here, before departing for Kuala Lumpur to attend the launch of the National Journalist Day 2018 in the federal capital.
Meanwhile, Najib's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who is also Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI) president attended the Aidilfitri contribution presentation ceremony at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian's Health Campus here.
Rosmah is also scheduled to attend the Aidilfitri contribution presentation to students with disabilities at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan's Kota Campus in Pengkalan Chepa here. — Bernama
