SANDAKAN: Police seized 550.8g of syabu following a public tip-off and arrested two suspects here on Saturday.
District police chief ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said police raided the ‘TB Ward’ squatter village at 1.45pm and nabbed a Filipino aged 34.
In a statement today, he said police found 50.4g of syabu with a street value of about RM5,000 inside the waist pouch of the man.
He said the second suspect, a woman aged 50 and an IMM13 Card holder was nabbed at a bus stop in Bandar Leila at 4.35pm.
Police found 10 packets of syabu weighing 500.4g with a street value of RM50,000 in the woman’s bag, he said.
Mohd Azhar said the suspects were detained for investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — Bernama
