Kadar keluar mengundi awal PRN Sabah capai 92.5 peratus

Undi awal PRN Sabah catat 92.5%, petanda positif kadar keluar mengundi Sabtu ini dengan jangkaan melebihi 70% menurut pakar UMS.

KOTA KINABALU: Peratusan undi awal yang mencecah 92.5% semasa Pilihan Raya Negeri Sabah ke-17 dilihat sebagai petanda positif untuk kadar keluar mengundi esok.

Ketua Penyelidik Kajian Elektoral dan Geopolitik Sabah Universiti Malaysia Sabah Dr Eko Prayitno Joko berkata angka tersebut lebih tinggi berbanding 76% pada PRN sebelumnya.

“Walaupun bukan cerminan terus pola pengundian, saya melihat pengundi sangat bermotivasi dan bersedia membuat pilihan,” katanya.

Beliau berkata mood undi awal berupaya mempengaruhi lebih ramai rakyat keluar mengundi pada hari pengundian.

Peratusan tinggi itu juga menunjukkan aspek logistik dan persiapan berada pada tahap memuaskan.

“Tahap komitmen dan kesedaran sivik yang tinggi dalam kalangan pengundi awal, terutamanya anggota keselamatan,” tambah Eko Prayitno.

Kehadiran mereka mencerminkan disiplin dan tanggungjawab tinggi terhadap proses demokrasi.

Seramai 17,615 orang mengundi awal di 58 pusat mengundi seluruh Sabah Selasa lepas.

Timbalan Dekan Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan UMS Profesor Madya Dr Syahruddin Awang Ahmad menjangkakan peningkatan peratusan keluar mengundi keseluruhan melebihi 70%.

“Disokong oleh momentum tinggi undi awal dan tumpuan kepada pengundi muda,” katanya.

Bagaimanapun, beliau mengingatkan undi awal hanya melibatkan sebahagian kecil daripada 1.78 juta pengundi.

Secara tradisinya, majoriti pengundi awal cenderung menyokong parti pemerintah.

Penyelidik GeoPES UMS Dr Azizan H Morshidi berkata peratusan tinggi berpotensi memberi kelebihan strategik kepada parti memerintah.

“Ini juga tanda amaran kepada pembangkang untuk mempergiat usaha mobilisasi,” katanya.
