Kekosongan kerusi DUN Mahkota dimaklum kepada SPR Ahad ini – Speaker DUN Johor

KLUANG: Kekosongan luar jangka kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Mahkota berikutan kematian penyandangnya Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain akan dimaklumkan kepada Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) Ahad ini, kata Speaker DUN Johor Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi.

Beliau berkata setelah pemakluman itu, pihaknya menyerahkan kepada SPR bagi tindakan lanjut termasuk mengadakan pilihan raya kecil (PRK).

“Insya-Allah Ahad ini saya akan masuk ke pejabat dan maklumkan kepada SPR,” katanya ketika ditemui selepas pengebumian jenazah Sharifah Azizah di Tanah Perkuburan Islam Raudhatul Sakinah, Kampung Tengah di sini hari ini.

Sementara itu, Mohd Puad berkata pemergian Sharifah Azizah adalah satu kehilangan besar buat UMNO dan pentadbiran Kerajaan Negeri Johor.

Jenazah Sharifah Azizah selamat dikebumikan kira-kira 5.25 petang hari ini.

Sharifah Azizah meninggal dunia pada 12.32 tengah hari tadi ketika dirawat di Hospital Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom (HEBHK) di sini.

Ketua Wanita UMNO Kluang itu dimasukkan ke Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) hospital berkenaan akibat mengalami sesak nafas pada awal pagi Rabu.
