Peniaga rugi RM140,000 terima ‘cek tendang’ urusan jualan jam Rolex

BATU PAHAT: Seorang peniaga kedai makan kerugian RM140,000 apabila menerima cek tendang daripada seorang suspek melalui urusan jualan dua jam tangan jenama Rolex.

Ketua Polis Daerah Batu Pahat ACP Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani berkata mangsa lelaki rakyat tempatan yang berusia 47 tahun itu telah mengiklankan jam tangan miliknya di aplikasi Facebook dengan harga RM88,000 pada 27 Okt lepas.

Beliau berkata mangsa kemudian menerima mesej daripada aplikasi Facebook Messenger dan seterusnya berkomunikasi dengan suspek yang tidak dapat dipastikan jantinanya melalui aplikasi WhatsApp bagi urusan pembelian jam tangan berkenaan.

“Suspek terus menyatakan ingin membeli jam tangan itu dengan harga RM88,000. Mangsa seterusnya telah menawarkan sebuah lagi jam tangan berjenama kepada suspek dengan harga RM52,000.

“Suspek yang bersetuju untuk membeli kedua-dua jam itu dengan harga RM140,000 menyatakan bayaran akan dibuat ke dalam akaun mangsa,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

Pada Isnin mangsa telah menerima mesej melalui aplikasi WhatsApp daripada suspek menyatakan bayaran berjumlah RM140,000 telah dibuat ke dalam akaun mangsa melalui mesin deposit cek.

Mangsa kemudian membuat semakan akaun bank dan mendapati ada rekod kemasukan cek serta suspek meminta untuk menyerahkan jam tangan kepada syarikat penghantar yang telah diupah bagi tujuan penghantaran.

“Namun pada Selasa lepas (5 Nov) mangsa mendapati wang berjumlah RM140,000 tiada di dalam akaun miliknya dan cek itu ialah cek tendang.

“Mangsa membuat laporan polis pada semalam dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan,” katanya.
