Perkhidmatan selular di Kampung Salang, Pulau Tioman pulih sepenuhnya

Perkhidmatan selular di Kampung Salang, Pulau Tioman telah dipulihkan sepenuhnya oleh CelcomDigi selepas gangguan sejak 17 Disember lalu

KUANTAN: Perkhidmatan selular di Kampung Salang, Pulau Tioman, Rompin telah berjaya dipulihkan sepenuhnya oleh syarikat telekomunikasi pada 1 Januari lepas.

Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (MCMC) memaklumkan berikutan faktor keselamatan serta perkhidmatan feri yang terhad pada musim monsun timur laut, pihak CelcomDigi hanya dapat tiba di Pulau Tioman pada 31 Disember lepas.

Pasukan CelcomDigi tiba bagi melaksanakan kerja-kerja penggantian peralatan yang rosak di stesen pemancar.

MCMC akan terus bekerjasama dengan agensi berkaitan seperti Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia serta Angkatan Pertahanan Awam untuk memberi bantuan logistik kepada penyedia perkhidmatan.

Bantuan tersebut khususnya diperlukan pada musim monsun timur laut dari aspek pengangkutan dan sokongan.

Sebelum ini, stesen pemancar selular di Kampung Salang yang diselia oleh CelcomDigi menggunakan teknologi Rangkaian Teras Pelbagai Operator telah mengalami kerosakan teruk.

Kerosakan itu menyebabkan perkhidmatan selular CelcomDigi, Maxis dan U Mobile di kampung tersebut terputus sejak 17 Disember lepas.

Semakan MCMC mendapati perkhidmatan jalur lebar tetap Unifi beroperasi seperti biasa semasa gangguan berlaku.

Secara keseluruhan, terdapat sembilan stesen pemancar di Pulau Tioman dan semua pemancar ini beroperasi dengan baik kecuali di Kampung Salang.

Terdahulu, MCMC menerima aduan daripada wakil rakyat dan penduduk kampung berhubung gangguan perkhidmatan selular 2G serta 4G di Kampung Salang.

Gangguan itu menjejaskan hampir 100 orang berikutan cuaca buruk yang melanda Pulau Tioman baru-baru ini.
