Ringgit dibuka tinggi berbanding dolar US selepas keputusan Fed mengenai kadar faedah

KUALA LUMPUR: Ringgit dibuka tinggi berbanding dolar US pada Rabu selepas Rizab Persekutuan (Fed) Amerika Syarikat (AS) dijangka akan memutuskan kadar faedah malam ini.

Pada 8 pagi, ringgit meningkat kepada 4.4405/4480 daripada dolar US berbanding 4.4450/4490 ketika ditutup pada Isnin.

Pasaran ditutup semalam sempena cuti umum Nuzul al-Quran.

Ketua Ahli Ekonomi Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid berkata pasaran menjangkakan Rizab Persekutuan AS (Fed) cenderung untuk menurunkan kadar faedah apabila ia membincangkan mengenai keputusan kadar faedah lewat hari ini.

“Fed AS mungkin menurunkan kadar faedah, pasaran menjangkakan penurunan kadar faedah sebanyak tiga kali tahun ini,” katanya kepada Bernama.

Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pasaran Terbuka Persekutuan (FOMC) AS berlangsung dua hari bermula semalam.

Mohd Afzanizam berkata hasil bon Perbendaharaan AS bercampur-campur dengan hasil 10 tahun jatuh dua mata asas kepada 4.18 peratus manakala nota dua tahun kekal stabil pada 4.04 peratus.

Hasil bon Perbendaharaan AS bercampur-campur itu menunjukkan bahawa pasaran kekal berhati-hati menjelang keputusan FOMC.

Ringgit diniagakan rendah berbanding sekumpulan mata wang utama.

Unit tempatan merosot kepada euro kepada 4.8566/8648 daripada 4.8455/8499 ketika ditutup pada Isnin, susut berbanding pound Britain kepada 5.7576/7628 daripada 5.7404/7463, bagaimanapun ia meningkat berbanding yen Jepun kepada 2.9720/9772 daripada 2.9896/9925.

Dalam pada itu, mata wang ringgit didagangkan lebih rendah berbanding mata wang ASEAN.

Ia turun berbanding dolar Singapura kepada 3.3360/3421 daripada 3.3351/3383 sebelum itu namun meningkat berbanding baht Thailand kepada 13.1961/2263 daripada 13.2213/2391.

Selain itu, ringgit juga menokok berbanding rupiah Indonesia kepada 270.2/270.8 daripada 270.9/271.2 dan naik berbanding peso Filipina kepada 7.75/7.77 daripada 7.76/7.77.
