Sindiket jadikan kereta stor simpan dadah tumpas

GEORGE TOWN: Sindiket pengedaran dadah yang menjadikan sebuah kereta sebagai stor menyimpan bahan terlarang itu tumpas susulan penahanan enam individu termasuk seorang wanita dalam tiga serbuan berasingan sekitar Jelutong dan Gelugor, Selasa lepas.

Pemangku Ketua Polis Daerah Timur Laut Supt V. Saravanan berkata serbuan dilakukan sepasukan anggota Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik (BSJN) Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Timur Laut menerusi Op Tapis antara 11.20 pagi hingga 3.45 petang.

Beliau berkata dalam serbuan pertama di pangsapuri Taman Sri Damai Jelutong pihaknya menahan tiga lelaki dan seorang wanita di dalam sebuah rumah dan menjumpai dua paket heroin, satu paket syabu dan empat biji pil Eramin 5.

“Soal siasat yang dilakukan terhadap suspek membawa kepada penahanan dua lagi ahli sindiket di kawasan letak kereta di lokasi sama dan merampas dua paket heroin seberat 228 gram di dalam kereta jenis Honda Civic.

“Berdasarkan pandu arah daripada suspek, polis kemudian melakukan serbuan ketiga di tempat letak kereta di tepi jalan Persiaran Bukit Gambir 1, Gelugor dan menemui sembilan paket heroin seberat 4.1 kilogram (kg) disorok di dalam kereta jenis Perodua Kancil.

“Berdasarkan siasatan kami percaya suspek menjadikan kereta itu sebagai stor menyimpan dadah sebelum diedarkan kepada pembeli,” katanya pada sidang media di IPD Timur Laut di sini, hari ini.

Menurut Saravanan semua dadah terbabit adalah untuk pasaran tempatan dan boleh dibekalkan kepada 22,402 pengguna bagaimanapun siasatan masih dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti dari mana bekalan itu diperoleh.

Turut dirampas dalam serbuan itu sebuah kereta jenis Mercedes Benz dan tiga motosikal pelbagai jenis, barangan kemas dan wang tunai RM6,050 dengan nilai rampasan keseluruhan berjumlah RM135,021.

Saravanan berkata ujian air kencing yang dilakukan terhadap suspek mendapati lima daripada mereka positif dadah malah semua mereka turut mempunyai rekod lampau berkaitan kes jenayah dan dadah.

Beliau berkata kesemua suspek berusia antara 21 hingga 42 tahun kini direman selama tujuh hari sehingga 21 Nov ini bagi membantu siasatan mengikut Seksyen 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952. – Bernama
