Timbalan menteri luar hadapi sembilan penjuru di DUN Bongawan

Timbalan Menteri Luar Datuk Mohamad Alamin berdepan lapan calon lain termasuk penyandang Dr Daud Yusof di DUN Bongawan PRN Sabah.

BONGAWAN: Timbalan Menteri Luar Datuk Mohamad Alamin berdepan pertembungan sembilan penjuru bagi merebut kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri Bongawan pada Pilihan Raya Negeri Sabah ke-17.

Ahli Parlimen Kimanis itu yang mewakili Barisan Nasional akan berdepan penyandang Dr Daud Yusof dari Warisan.

Beliau turut berdepan veteran politik Sabah Tan Sri Anifah Aman mewakili Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.

Calon lain termasuk Ridzuan Agus Payong dari Perikatan Nasional dan Hussin Dasar @ Esah daripada Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah.

Peter Matinjal dari Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat turut bertanding.

Tiga lagi calon ialah Dolores Micheal daripada Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Sabah, Royston Adven dari Parti Impian Sabah dan calon Bebas Md Harris Md Tahir.

Pengumuman di pusat penamaan calon Dewan Kesenian Islam Membakut dibuat Pegawai Pengurus Pilihan Raya Suzlan Suhaili.

“Saya telah menerima sembilan kertas pencalonan dan setelah selesai disemak, saya berpuas hati memutuskan tiada yang ditolak kertas yang diterima,” kata Suzlan.

Pada PRN lepas, Dr Daud menang kerusi DUN Bongawan dengan majoriti 1,802 undi.

Satu lagi kerusi yang turut diumumkan di lokasi sama ialah DUN Membakut yang menyaksikan pertembungan 10 penjuru.

GRS meletakkan harapan kepada penyandang kerusi Datuk Dr Mohd Ariffin Mohd Arif manakala BN akan diwakili Rusman Dulamit.

Lapan lagi calon Membakut termasuk Mohamad Said @ Ismail Sait dari Warisan dan Aziz Angkiu @ Jaafar dari PPRS.

Calon lain ialah Adrian Lajim dari STAR, Kamal Idris dari PIS dan Rowindy Lawrence Odong mewakili UPKO.

Yahya Ahmad mewakili Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri, Suliaman Alladad dari Parti Kebangsaan Sabah dan calon Bebas Haslan Wasli turut bertanding.

Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya menetapkan 29 November sebagai hari pengundian bagi PRN Sabah ke-17.

Tarikh pengundian awal ditetapkan pada 25 November. – Bernama
