AWC clinches RM42.3m data centre job from Gamuda

KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd has secured a RM42.3 million subcontract from Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd for works at a hyperscale data centre in Puncak Alam, Selangor.

The Main Market-listed engineering services group said its wholly owned unit, Qudotech Sdn Bhd, will undertake cold water, rainwater harvesting and sanitary system works at the data centre located in Eco Business Park V.

This marks AWC’s second data centre contract from Gamuda, following the completion of an earlier project last month. The contract is expected to commence on Dec 8, 2025, with completion targeted for Feb 28, 2027 for Facility 1 and Sept 1, 2027 for Facility 2.

Group CEO and president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said the award reflects Gamuda’s continued confidence in AWC’s engineering capabilities.

“With this win, all our key divisions have secured new contracts in FY26,” he said, adding that cumulative job wins for the financial year have reached about RM424 million.

As at end-September 2025, AWC’s order book stood at RM528 million, excluding seven contracts worth RM412.3 million secured after that date.
