St. George’s University and Dwight School Seoul Announce Affiliation, Offering Korean Students an International Medical Education

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Media OutReach Newswire – 16 December 2025 – St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, has recently announced a three-year affiliation with Dwight School Seoul. The partnership creates a pathway for students at Dwight School Seoul to pursue a global medical degree by commencing a five-year Doctor of Medicine (MD5) track at SGU.

Under the agreement, eligible Dwight School Seoul graduates may enroll in SGU’s MD5 track after completing their diploma. The pathway combines preclinical study, basic sciences, and clinical rotations to prepare the graduates for global medical careers.

SGU students pursuing the MD program/track will have access to clinical training at more than 75 affiliated hospitals and clinical centers across the US and the UK. These placements immerse trainees in patient care and professional standards, fostering integrity, accountability, and lifelong learning.

“Aspiring physicians at Dwight School Seoul will gain a supported route into an accredited medical program,” said Aurelie Lily Phommarack, Associate Director of International Affiliations at SGU. “Through this affiliation, SGU will help guide qualified students from Seoul to our MD5 medical track with clinical training opportunities in the US or UK, equipping them to serve patients with skill and compassion.”

“We are proud to be an SGU-affiliated high school in South Korea,” said Kaleena Carter, Director of University & Career Counseling at Dwight School Seoul. “This partnership expands our students’ post-graduation choices, aligning our IB curriculum with a defined medical pathway and access to SGU’s international training network.”

Through this affiliation, Dwight School Seoul students benefit from a simplified application process to SGU’s MD tracks, partial scholarships, guaranteed interviews, and access to the SGU’s Global Medic Club, an online learning platform with exclusive content and mentorship resources.

Beyond admissions support, SGU actively engages with these students through webinars, workshops, career sessions, and advisory events that provide real-world insights into studying and practicing medicine.
