PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Aviation Group, through Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, will be operating more than 2,700 domestic flights during the upcoming Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri peak travel period, making it easier for Malaysians to reunite with loved ones during the festive season.

Malaysia Airlines will operate up to 1,557 flights, while Firefly will provide up to 1,176 services connecting key destinations across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. This expanded schedule provides travellers with greater flexibility and more options to plan their journeys home.

Malaysia Airlines will upgrade aircraft on high-traffic routes including Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Terengganu, Miri, Sibu, Kuching, Tawau, Sandakan, and Kota Kinabalu. The airline will also operate red-eye flights to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Kuching, allowing travellers to make most of their travel days.

The airlines are offering fixed all-in one-way fares for key East Malaysia routes.

Malaysia Airlines fares start from RM339 to Sarawak and RM399 to Sabah on selected flights, while Firefly fares start from RM298 to Sarawak and RM348 to Sabah. These fares are available for purchase from now until March 29 for travel between March 17 and March 29 exclusively via the airlines’ official websites and mobile apps.

Both airlines will also cap fares on selected East Malaysia routes with Malaysia Airlines offering maximum all-in one-way fares up to RM569, while Firefly will offer fares up to RM548* all-in one-way, for travel between March 17 and March 20.
