SUBANG JAYA: Proton has strengthened the international presence of its electric vehicle (EV)business with the launch of the Proton e.MAS 5 in Singapore.
Introduced by Proton’s Singapore distributor Vincar Group, the model is the second Proton e.MAS vehicle already launched in the island nation, following the debut of the Proton e.MAS 7 last year, and marks another milestone in the national carmaker’s regional expansion.
“Expanding the Proton e.MAS lineup in Singapore showcases Proton’s determination to excel in its export journey and reflects growing confidence in Malaysian automotive products beyond our borders,“ said Proton International Corporation CEO Edmund Lim Meng Thong, adding that the company’s ambition extends beyond simply exporting vehicles.
“We are building a sustainable regional business centred on strong partnerships, excellent customer ownership experiences and products that meet the mobility needs of each market. Every new market entered by Proton strengthens the brand internationally and supports Malaysia’s aspirations to become a recognised player in the future mobility industry,” he said.
The arrival of the Proton e.MAS 5 in Singapore builds on the success of a vehicle that has already earned widespread global recognition. Together with its Geely equivalent, the model has recorded cumulative global sales exceeding 610,000 units.
Buyers of the Proton e.MAS 5 in Singapore will enjoy a range of benefits, including charging credit, S$5,000 ownership benefits, zero downpayment, a 10-year battery warranty, cross-border warranty, and complimentary Malaysia-Singapore data roaming.
