KPWKM cadang tubuh satu Anjung Kasih YKN setiap negeri

KOTA BHARU: Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM) bercadang menubuhkan sekurang-kurangnya sebuah Anjung Kasih Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) atau tempat penginapan sementara di setiap negeri, kata Menterinya Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

Beliau yang juga Pengerusi Lembaga Pemegang Amanah YKN berkata pada masa ini terdapat 19 Anjung Kasih YKN yang beroperasi sepenuhnya termasuk terbaharu disediakan di Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZII) di sini.

“Pembinaan Anjung Kasih YKN ini mendapat permintaan daripada pelbagai hospital di seluruh negara untuk mengurangkan beban penjaga pesakit terutama bagi pesakit yang lama dirawat di hospital.

“Insya-Allah sekurang-kurangnya satu Anjung Kasih akan dibina di setiap negeri, tetapi ada juga negeri yang mempunyai dua atau tiga fasiliti ini kerana keadaan landskap penempatan penduduknya terutama di Sabah dan Sarawak,“ katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Majlis ‘Better Brighter’ Anjung Kasih (YKN) – Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) di HRPZII di sini hari ini.

Turut hadir Pengarah Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Kelantan (JKNK) Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin dan Pengerusi TNB Datuk Abdul Razak Majid.

Mengulas lanjut, Nancy berkata sebanyak 96,338 penghuni telah mendapat manfaat daripada penyediaan Anjung Kasih YKN yang ditubuhkan sejak 2006.

“Pesakit yang sedang menerima rawatan memerlukan bantuan menguruskan diri serta sokongan emosi daripada ahli keluarga atau waris, jadi fasiliti ini dapat meringankan beban perbelanjaan serta masa mereka untuk berulang-alik dari rumah ke hospital selain mengerat kasih sayang,“ katanya.

Dalam pada itu, katanya menerusi tajaan tanggungjawab sosial korporat (CSR) TNB sejumlah RM1.5 juta diperuntukkan bagi penubuhan Better Brighter Anjung Kasih YKN–TNB tersebut, iaitu projek pertama di negeri ini. -Bernama
