Pengarah syarikat ditahan bantu siasatan penipuan pelaburan

ALOR SETAR: Polis menahan seorang pengarah syarikat bagi membantu siasatan kes penipuan pelaburan membabitkan nilai lebih RM11 juta beberapa tahun lepas.

Pemangku Ketua Polis Daerah Kota Setar Supt Syed Basri Syed Ali berkata lelaki berusia 57 tahun itu ditahan ketika hadir ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kota Setar untuk memberi keterangan kira-kira 4.30 petang semalam.

“Modus operandi syarikat itu adalah melalui pelaburan berasaskan pembangunan hartanah dan pengurusan liabiliti. Mereka mendakwa memiliki 10 projek yang dijalankan menerusi syarikat berkenaan.

“Bagaimanapun, semakan mendapati syarikat itu tidak memiliki sebarang kebenaran atau kelulusan daripada Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM),“ katanya ketika dihubungi hari ini.

Beliau berkata kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan kerana menipu.

Bernama pada 30 Nov lepas melaporkan 80 mangsa penipuan skim pelaburan, menggesa pihak polis supaya mengambil tindakan segera terhadap sebuah syarikat pelaburan yang sebelum ini berpangkalan di Kedah kerana memperdaya dan menyebabkan mereka kerugian lebih RM11 juta.

Setiausaha Agung Pertubuhan Kemanusiaan Masyarakat Antarabangsa Malaysia (MHO) Datuk Hishamuddin Hashim dilapor berkata kesemua mangsa yang kebanyakannya berasal dari Muar di Johor, Perlis dan Kedah sudah membuat laporan polis sejak Mac lepas.

Syarikat berkenaan dikatakan kurang dikenali, namun mempunyai cawangan di beberapa negeri antaranya di Johor, Melaka, Kedah dan Perlis yang menawarkan program menyewakan hartanah kepada pelabur dengan pulangan dividen lumayan dalam tempoh 45 hari.

Hishamuddin bersama wakil mangsa turut mengadakan pertemuan tertutup bersama Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial Bukit Aman Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf dan difahamkan sebanyak 15 kertas siasatan telah dibuka berhubung kes itu. – Bernama
