STPM 2024 catat PNGK tertinggi 2.85, 53 pelajar raih 5A

KUALA LUMPUR: Keputusan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2024 mencatatkan Purata Nilai Gred Keseluruhan (PNGK) nasional 2.85, tertinggi sejak peperiksaan itu dilaksanakan.

Pengerusi Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (MPM) Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff berkata angka itu merupakan peningkatan 0.01 mata daripada 2.84 yang direkod pada tahun sebelumnya.

Selain itu, beliau berkata sebanyak 1,266 calon atau 3.06 peratus meraih PNGK 4.00, iaitu peningkatan 150 calon berbanding 2023.

“Pada 2024, bilangan calon yang mendapat 5A dalam kelima-lima mata pelajaran yang diambil telah meningkat daripada 41 calon dalam peperiksaan STPM 2023 kepada 53 calon,” katanya pada sidang media pengumuman Keputusan STPM 2024 di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata bilangan calon yang mendapat 4A juga bertambah kepada 1,228 calon berbanding 1,087 calon pada 2023.

Md Amin berkata sebanyak 42,861 calon telah mendaftar untuk menduduki STPM 2024, namun hanya 41,434 orang yang hadir manakala daripada 41,434 calon itu, 99.97 peratus atau 41,422 calon layak dianugerahkan Sijil STPM 2024.

Beliau berkata kesemua 23 mata pelajaran ditawarkan dalam peperiksaan STPM 2024 mencatatkan peratusan lulus penuh melebihi 60 peratus, iaitu gred C dan ke atas.

Dalam pada itu, beliau berkata sebanyak 20 pelajar terbaik mengikut kategori terpilih untuk diberikan anugerah berbentuk wang tunai bernilai RM1,000, plak serta sijil yang akan disampaikan oleh Menteri Pendidikan Fadhlina Sidek, hari ini.

Kategori berkenaan katanya, melibatkan lapan pelajar terbaik aliran Sains, lapan pelajar terbaik aliran Sains Sosial dan seorang pelajar terbaik bagi kategori Orang Asli.

“Tiga pelajar terbaik bagi kategori calon Berkeperluan Pendidikan Khas, iaitu spastik (seorang), buta (seorang) dan rabun (seorang),“ kata Md Amin yang juga Naib Canselor Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

Selain itu, MPM juga akan memberikan anugerah kepada seorang pelajar terbaik Ujian Bahasa Inggeris Universiti Malaysia (MUET) 2024 dan seorang pelajar terbaik Sijil Kecekapan Bahasa Melayu Bagi Warganegara Asing (SKBMW) 2024.

Calon STPM 2024 boleh menyemak keputusan menerusi pautan http://stpm.mpm.edu.my/stpmK dan sistem pesanan ringkas (SMS) bermula pada 11.30 pagi ini.
