Suri rumah rugi lebih RM50,000 terperdaya tawaran kerja dalam talian

CHUKAI: Seorang wanita mengalami kerugian RM50,550 selepas terperdaya dengan tawaran kerja secara dalam talian yang tidak wujud.

Ketua Polis Daerah Kemaman Supt Mohd Razi Rosli berkata suri rumah berusia 47 tahun itu telah melihat iklan tawaran kerja sambilan di laman sosial Instagram pada 3 Mac lepas.

Beliau berkata mangsa kemudian telah menghubungi suspek yang juga seorang wanita melalui aplikasi WhatsApp untuk mendapatkan butiran lanjut mengenai tawaran berkenaan.

“Mangsa diberi tugasan iaitu perlu membuat bayaran beberapa tempahan hotel secara dalam talian dengan nilai berbeza dan dijanjikan komisen antara empat hingga 10 peratus.

“Wanita itu yang gelap mata dengan komisen tinggi telah membuat 24 transaksi berjumlah RM50,500 dalam tempoh bermula 5 hingga 14 Mac,“ katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Mohd Razi berkata mangsa bagaimanapun menyedari ditipu apabila tidak menerima sebarang komisen yang dijanjikan.

Beliau berkata susulan itu, suri rumah berkenaan membuat laporan di Balai Polis Chukai, Kemaman petang semalam dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan.
