Waris bekas atlet SUKMA terima faedah PERKESO di Kuala Nerus

KUALA NERUS: Nasib keluarga bekas atlet angkat berat Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) Terengganu, Allahyarham Siti Noralyaa Mat Marzuki, yang meninggal dunia akibat kanser payudara Sabtu lepas, terbela setelah menerima faedah Pencen Penakat daripada Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO).

Pengarah PERKESO Terengganu, Suhara Mustaffa, menyatakan bahawa waris termasuk ibu bapa dan empat adik Allahyarham yang berusia antara lapan hingga 16 tahun menerima pencen penakat kumulatif sebanyak RM897 sebulan. Bayaran tersebut akan disalurkan mulai bulan depan.

Selain itu, PERKESO turut menyampaikan faedah pengurusan jenazah berjumlah RM3,000 di bawah skim perlindungan sosial agensi itu. “Dalam tempoh dua tahun, PERKESO telah membantu 25 atlet yang menjalani rawatan pemulihan, termasuk dua pemain bola sepak Terengganu FC (TFC) yang masih dirawat di Pusat Rehabilitasi Perkeso,“ kata Suhara.

Beliau menekankan komitmen PERKESO dalam menjaga kebajikan atlet Terengganu. “Ramai atlet telah menerima bayaran faedah di bawah skim perlindungan kami,“ tambahnya ketika ditemui di kediaman keluarga arwah di Taman Batin Perdana.

Turut hadir dalam majlis tersebut ialah Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Belia, Sukan dan Badan Bukan Kerajaan Terengganu, Hishamuddin Abdul Karim, serta Pengarah Majlis Sukan Negeri Terengganu (MSNT), Ahmad Shahrizal Yahaya.

Ibu arwah, Rusmailaili Samsuri, 43, mengucapkan terima kasih atas bantuan tersebut yang sedikit sebanyak meringankan beban keluarga. “Arwah banyak membantu menampung perbelanjaan keluarga dan persekolahan adik-adiknya. Selepas tidak lagi bersama MSNT, dia bekerja di stesen minyak untuk menyara kami,“ katanya.

Rusmailaili berkata suaminya hanya bekerja sebagai pemandu lori roti, manakala dia sendiri tidak bekerja dan menguruskan anak-anak di rumah. “Arwah anak yang baik, gajinya digunakan untuk keperluan keluarga,“ ujarnya.

Siti Noralyaa menghembuskan nafas terakhir di Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ) petang Sabtu lalu selepas sebulan terlantar sakit. – Bernama
