M’sian biker scratches car, scolds driver in traffic jam

Dashcam captures biker scratching car and shouting at driver, netizens urge police report for road bullying

HAVING a dashcam can be a lifesaver, helping to record road incidents and bring them to public attention.

In a recent Threads post, Zati shared a morning incident where a man on a Harley-Davidson, a luxury motorbike, cut across lanes in front of her car during standstill traffic.

The dashcam footage shows the biker attempting to squeeze through a narrow gap between Zati’s car and the vehicle in front.

Due to the bike’s size, he scratched her car’s bumper and then angrily confronted her.

The footage shows him staring at Zati for several seconds with a stoic face, shouting as if she was at fault, and demanding her to reverse her car to make space.

“If I’d reversed, it wouldn’t have reached him anyway. Then he had the nerve to scold me to reverse—you hit me, yet you’re the one getting angry,” she wrote.

Zati expected the biker to pull over, but he drove straight ahead, shaking his head in frustration.

“Totally reckless. And he wasn’t even wearing a proper helmet. Please help identify him—he probably thought I was “just a woman”. If it turns out it is a man too (at my place), he’s in serious trouble,” she added.

The footage also revealed that the biker wore what appeared to be a cap-like plastic shell helmet with a buckle, violating JPJ regulations.

Zati shared an image showing the scratch he caused on her bumper.

Outraged by his behaviour, netizens urged Zati to lodge a complaint via the MyJPJ mobile app and file a police report for road bullying.

Noticing his single-digit number plate, Threads users speculated that the rider is wealthy, dubbing the incident a “rude T20” problem.

One user commented, “Money can’t buy manners, a good heart, or common sense.”

Another added that some motorbikers act like “kings” on the road, bullying other road users.
