As the girl continued to refuse her meal, the caretaker allegedly became increasingly aggressive, eventually shoving food into the child’s mouth with her hand.
Later, the child was taken away by what is believed to be another caretaker.
The viral video sparked widespread anger, with netizens calling for firm action against the kindergarten for allowing such alleged mistreatment.
“I faced this type of treatment as a child, and it was distasteful and disgusting. Yes, children will misbehave, but being forceful and shaming a child in front of her peers like that will definitely affect her life,” one netizen said.
“If the child did not want to eat, then let her be. If her parents ask, then answer truthfully,” another commented.
It was reported on Monday (January 26) that two caregivers were detained to assist in police investigations involving child abuse cases at a kindergarten in Sungai Buloh.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor confirmed five reports have been lodged on Sunday (January 25). He also verified that a video recording linked to the cases was obtained.
