A tourist recently shared in a TikTok video that she felt that Malaysian women are beautiful.
“Why does no one talk about how beautiful Malaysian women are,” said Gabrielle in her video.
She then goes on to say that people often speak of the beauty of Japanese, Korean and Brazilian women but Malaysian women seem to be left out of the conversation.
“I’m looking around and its just pretty women left and right.
“They deserve so much more hype honestly,” commented Gabrielle.
Her remarks resonated deeply with Malaysian women online, many of whom shared personal reflections in the comments.
One user wrote: “Thing is, we got brainwashed into thinking our faces are not beautiful and also that only light-skinned people are pretty, when most of us are middle tan. It’s so hard to change perspective.”
