New Spider-Man trailer swings in

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man faces a city that no longer remembers him

A new trailer for Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been released, giving audiences a closer look at Peter Parker’s next chapter after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The film is set four years after Peter voluntarily erased himself from the memories of the people he loves. Now living alone and fighting crime full-time in New York, Peter continues to protect a city that no longer remembers him.

The new story follows him as the pressure of his isolated life begins to take a toll. With his old friends moving on without him, Peter faces a transformation he may not be able to control. At the same time, a strange pattern of crimes points to a new threat to the city and the people he still cares about.

The official synopsis teases “a powerful villain no one can even see,” setting up a more personal and physically demanding challenge for the titular web-head.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The screenplay is written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes, based on the Marvel comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in cinemas on July 30. Tickets are now on sale.
