‘How to Rob a Bank’ trailer previews viral heist story

How to Rob a Bank follows bank robbers whose broadcasted crimes put them in danger

SONY Pictures has released the official trailer and poster for How to Rob a Bank, ahead of its Malaysian cinema release on Sept 3.

Directed by David Leitch from a screenplay by Mark Bianculli, the film follows a crew of bank robbers who broadcast their heists online.

As their online fame grows, the group continues to raise the stakes, pushing towards their biggest robbery yet. The premise mixes heist action with the modern obsession with going viral, turning public attention into both a weapon and a liability

The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Anna Sawai, Rhenzy Feliz, Christian Slater, Pete Davidson and John C. Reilly.

Leitch is known for directing action-heavy films including Bullet Train and The Fall Guy. The film is produced by Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Allan Mandelbaum, Kelly McCormick and Leitch.

How to Rob a Bank is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and produced by 87 North and Imagine Entertainment. The film will be released exclusively in cinemas.
