GUA MUSANG: An additional cost of RM3.75 million is needed for the maintenance of four locations identified along Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai (FT08) for the comfort and safety of road users in the areas.
Galas assemblyman Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim said however application for the additional cost has been submitted by Kelantan Works Department (JKR) and a meeting with the ministry (KKR) will be held soon.
“During a briefing session with Kelantan JKR director Mohd Suhaili Ismail and East Coast Economic Region 1 (ECER) Special Project Unit, JKR as well as Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd, I understand JKR still needs additional allocations of RM3.75 million to repair the damages in Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai (FT08).
“As such, I will give my commitment with the state JKR to apply for KKR consideration as it is a pressing need for the people,” he told reporters here today.
Commenting further, Mohd Syahbuddin said the maintenance project for 95-kilometre long Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai had begun in May to Oct 2023 costing RM8 million at several different locations, nonetheless the additional sum is needed for the continuous repair to ensure the safety of users.–Bernama
