HULU SELANGOR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Khairul Azhari Saut today launched his manifesto for the Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) state by-election, outlining five pledges.

The manifesto, themed ‘Demi Rakyat KKB’, was launched at an event held here.

The five pledges are: promoting high-quality and sustainable development; ensuring environmental sustainability and green surroundings; empowering the local economy; harnessing the potential of progressive youth and women; and supporting minority communities.

Khairul Azhari, 54, is the last candidate to launch a manifesto for the by-election, which is being held following the death of the previous assemblyman, Lee Kee Hiong, 58, on March 21 due to cancer.

The KKB by-election sees a four-cornered fight involving Pang Sock Tao (Pakatan Harapan), Khairul Azhari, Hafizah Zainuddin (Parti Rakyat Malaysia), and Nyau Ke Xin (Independent).

Early voting is tomorrow while polling is on Saturday (May 11)
