KUALA LUMPUR:A key witness in the disappearance of Perlis-based social activist Amri Che Mat is being sought by police to assist in a probe on the abduction case.
Federal police CID legal and prosecution division head principal assistant director SAC Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said yesterday that the witness was identified as 41-year-old Saiful Bahari Abdul Aziz (MyKad - 781028-04-5193) and that the case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code as abduction.
Anyone with information on Saiful or his whereabouts are urged to contact Insp Wan Ahmad Zakiman Wan Ismail at 03-22666071 / 013-7117025 or the nearest police station. Saiful's name cropped in an inquiry on the case last year as his car was spotted near Amri’s house for days before the activist went missing.
