PETALING JAYA: Following the discovery of the dismembered body parts of a cat at an undisclosed in Klang Valley recently, the Malaysian Animal Association (MAA) is offering an RM5000 reward to anyone with information on the perpetrators of the gruesome act.
The association’s president, Arie Dwi Andika, said the culprit who killed the cat had cut off the its four legs and snout and left its body in the open.
He also said, judging by the parts that were cut off, it is evident that the killer had intended to eat the cat.
“The cat’s carcass was found near a workshop ... the location, we cannot disclose at this time,“ Arie told theSun.
“MAA urges any eyewitness of the incident to contact us to provide further information on the matter. We have received many calls from individuals ever since we offered the reward, but we have our own ways to screen the information. We wish to highlight that the reward is only given if the witnesses statement leads to the perpetrator’s persecution.”
