KOTA KINABALU: PKR practices the MADANI principle which emphasises unity and well-being of all Malaysians, according to its vice president Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan.
He said PKR under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership prioritises equality and justice for all citizens regardless of location.
“The Prime Minister’s administration has adopted the MADANI concept,“ Ramanan told Bernama after attending the MADANI Aspiration Programme organised by Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia.
“This MADANI will ensure that no one is left behind.”
Ramanan, who is also Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development, emphasised that Anwar genuinely intends to improve living standards for all Malaysians.
He noted that PKR’s family spirit and mutual assistance culture reflects in state-federal government relations.
“If you don’t help the state government, which is your younger brother, for now, who will take care of you?” he questioned.
Ramanan appreciated the federal government’s commitment to allocate RM6.9 billion to Sabah in the 2026 Budget.
He said this demonstrates the Prime Minister’s concern for development in the state.
Ramanan arrived in Sabah yesterday for a two-day visit including ministry programmes and PKR leadership meetings.
The visit prepares PKR members for the 17th Sabah state election next month.
