The new locally assembled MG ZS is expected to cost RM105,000 in Turbo form and RM115,000 as the 215PS Hybrid+, with rollout starting later this month.
SAIC Motor Malaysia has announced estimated pricing for the new MG ZS ahead of its official rollout later this month, with the locally assembled B-segment SUV expected to start at RM105,000 for the 1.5 Turbo and RM115,000 for the Hybrid+. Both figures are for Peninsular Malaysia excluding insurance.
The ZS was previewed locally at KLIMS 2026 earlier this year, when MG confirmed that Malaysia would receive both petrol and hybrid versions. The latest announcement now confirms that local rollout is scheduled for the end of October, with both variants assembled in Malaysia.

The ZS 1.5 Turbo uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 170PS and 275Nm, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. Claimed combined fuel consumption is 6.9 litres per 100km.
The Hybrid+ pairs a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with a 100kW electric motor, a 1.83kWh NCM battery and a three-speed hybrid transmission.
SAIC Motor Malaysia now quotes a combined output of 215PS and 465Nm, with 0 to 100km/h taking 8.7 seconds. Fuel consumption is rated at 4.7 litres per 100km, while total driving range is claimed at up to 870km.

The hybrid system can also operate in EV mode at speeds of up to 80km/h under suitable conditions, without requiring external charging. This makes the Hybrid+ the more efficiency-focused option of the two while still offering considerably more quoted output than the Turbo.
At 4,430mm long and 1,818mm wide, MG describes the ZS as the largest B-segment SUV in its class. Boot capacity stands at 443 litres with the rear seats in place and expands to 1,457 litres when they are folded.

Inside, the ZS gets a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch floating infotainment display and a separate 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Other highlights include Connected Hunter Eyes headlights, LED tail lights and alloy wheels, while the cabin is finished in black with perforated leatherette upholstery.
MG Pilot ADAS 2.5 is also standard, including Intelligent Cruise Assist and Driver Fatigue Monitoring. MG iSmart connectivity allows selected vehicle functions to be accessed remotely through a smartphone, including keyless entry.

Four exterior colours will be offered, which are Flare Red, Silver, Andes Grey, and York White.
For the launch period, the first 1,000 customers who book before Oct 30 2026 will receive early-bird benefits worth RM3,000 together with five years of complimentary maintenance.
The MG ZS Hybrid+ will also be displayed at Nexus Bangsar South from Oct 19 to 23, ahead of the model’s official rollout later in the month.
