Porsche 911 GT3 Gets Track-Ready Upgrade with Manthey Kit

The Porsche 911 GT3 has long been a favourite among enthusiasts who push their cars to the limit on track days, and the new Manthey Kit takes its performance to a whole new level. Designed specifically for those with a passion for high-speed circuit driving, the package builds on the Weissach Package with upgraded aerodynamics, suspension, and braking components.

The result is a car capable of lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:52.981 minutes—nearly three seconds quicker than its predecessor fitted with the same kit.

Developed in close collaboration between Porsche’s Weissach Development Centre and Manthey engineers in Meuspath, the Manthey Kit is available through Porsche Centres worldwide. Its focus is on maximising downforce, improving cornering speeds, and ensuring the car can handle the intense demands of track use.

The suspension has been specially adapted for circuit driving, with four-way adjustable coilovers allowing rebound and compression to be fine-tuned without tools. Spring rates on the front axle have been increased by 10 per cent over the previous generation, enhancing stability and mechanical grip, particularly over kerbs.

Aerodynamics have been comprehensively upgraded. The 911 GT3’s underbody has been smoothed into a continuous aerodynamic element, with extended turning vanes and a covered luggage compartment floor generating additional downforce efficiently. The front lip has been extended by 12 millimetres, while new front diffusor fins and side flaps improve airflow at the front axle.

At the rear, the swan-neck wing now features a Gurney flap and larger, inward-curved end plates. The diffuser has longer fins to increase downforce without raising drag, and carbon-fibre wheel covers at the rear reduce drag further. In road mode at 285 km/h, the car produces 355 kg of downforce, which rises to 540 kg in the track-only circuit mode.

Porsche also offers optional lightweight 20- and 21-inch forged wheels that reduce unsprung mass by six kilograms compared to standard wheels. Standard braided steel brake lines provide precise pressure and control, while racing brake pads are available for the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system.

For those looking to personalise their car, Porsche offers a range of sporty accessories. Carbon door sill trims with illuminated Manthey lettering, LED door projectors, coloured carbon aerodiscs, and front and rear tow straps add both style and function for track use. Carbon-fibre front air outlets and rear air intakes are also available as visual enhancements.

On the Nürburgring, the Manthey Kit demonstrates its capabilities. Driven by reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven, the 911 GT3 completed the 20.8-kilometre circuit in less than ideal conditions, achieving a certified time of 6:52.981 minutes—2.76 seconds faster than the previous 992.1 generation with Manthey Kit. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres were fitted for the record-setting run, highlighting the kit’s track-focused performance.

The Manthey Kit cements the 911 GT3’s reputation as one of the most track-capable production cars, delivering advanced engineering and performance upgrades that allow drivers to fully exploit its potential on the circuit.
