Johor salesman wins RM22.5m Sports Toto Jackpots

PETALING JAYA: A salesman from Johor struck it big at the Sports Toto Jackpots when he walked away with RM22.5 million.
The winner, a 36-year-old salesman, who only started playing Sports Toto games six years ago won his prize in the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on July 30 this year.
"My favourite games are Toto 4D, Toto 6D and Lotto games.
"Other then betting on my car registration number, I would pair it with other numbers that I feel good. However, the winning pair of numbers – '7118 and 1136' were not the usual numbers that I bought," he told Sport Toto after collecting his winnings.
He came across these numbers during his business trips to Sabah.
"I don't see it as coincidental because we don't normally come across the same numbers again and again. Luckily, I decided to buy the numbers which won me RM60,000 in February," he added.
He bought a System 8 ticket which allows him to bet for eight sets of numbers, and won him not only a whopping RM22,515,778.60 but also an additional prize money of RM2,016.
He plans to use his winnings with his wife and sister-in-law, who are the joint holder of the ticket.
"I will also use the money to settle my house and car loans, save for my daughter's education and for investment," he added.
