JPJKK deputy director stresses integrity and professionalism for auxiliary police to uphold PDRM’s image during passing-out parade in Kuala Lumpur.
KUALA LUMPUR: Auxiliary police must maintain integrity and professionalism in their actions to uphold the image of their agencies and the Royal Malaysia Police.
Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department deputy director Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid said integrity and discipline are fundamental pillars that cannot be compromised.
“We do not want any members of the auxiliary police to be problematic, undisciplined, or involved in criminal activities, as this tarnishes not only the agency’s image but also PDRM’s reputation,” he said during the Basic Auxiliary Police Series 9/2025 passing-out parade at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre.
A total of 186 trainees completed the nine-week training programme which began on September 21.
The course involved 23 agencies from both public and private sectors sharing the common goal of ensuring public safety and national stability.
“Although this basic training is shorter compared to the six-month Constable Police Basic Training Programme, I am confident that all of you are capable of absorbing and acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills as auxiliary police personnel,” he added.
Nik Ros Azhan emphasised that the basic course is a key requirement for the appointment of auxiliary police personnel.
He said the auxiliary police force is a key strategic partner to PDRM in maintaining public safety and order at premises and critical national assets.
“In an era of increasingly complex security challenges, auxiliary police personnel are not just internal enforcers, but also the ‘eyes and ears’ of PDRM,” he said.
Nik Ros Azhan assured that JPJKK would continue to monitor and supervise auxiliary police personnel across the states to ensure PDRM’s image remains intact. – Bernama
