Two 15-year-old students in Sungai Petani were placed on a two-year good behaviour bond for causing hurt to a 16-year-old schoolmate.
SUNGAI PETANI: The Magistrate’s Court here ordered two secondary school students to be placed on a two-year good behaviour bond for causing hurt to a schoolmate.
Magistrate Mohamad Azlan Basri issued the ruling after both 15-year-old Form Three students pleaded guilty to the charge.
The court also ordered the boys to report monthly to a nearby Social Welfare Department office during the bond period.
They must be accompanied by their respective biological mothers for these monthly reports.
The offence occurred in the school hall at 12.15 pm on July 21 last year.
Both students were charged with voluntarily causing injury to a 16-year-old male student.
The charge was framed under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
However, as the offenders are under 18, they were dealt with under the Child Act 2001 for rehabilitation purposes.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Hazwani Md Nor conducted the prosecution.
The two students were unrepresented during the court proceedings. – Bernama
